Business in China
Things to know when doing business in China or with the Chinese.
The first and most important thing is to have patience when dealing with the Chinese.
Be prepared to spend for a banquet and for a similar level of entertainment of contracts as you would in any other country.
Be firm. Stand fast. Insist they meet their end of the arrangements. And if they don’t scream loudly to the press.
Make sure you’ve done you market research. Sell the Chinese what they really need. And buy what they are good at making.
You must carry plenty of business cards. (Also handy to have the Chinese translation on the back). Without one you don’t exist. Use both hands to give and receive cards.
Honesty and Frankness would smooth out any communication problems.
