Things to make
Paper Lantern
You will need:
Coloured card (Bigger than A4)
Pen
Scissors
Different coloured tissue paper
Non solvent glue
Piece of string (approx 12inch long)

Method:
- Draw different shapes on the coloured card, making sure it’s away from the edge.
- Cut out the shapes, without going in from the sides. (You may want to ask an adult to help you on this.)
- Stick coloured tissue paper over the holes, making sure there’s no gaps left.
- Stick the two ends together to form a cylinder. (Tip: Use paper clips to hold it together until the glue is dry)
- Pierce hole at the top of the cylinder at either side. (You may want to ask an adult to help you on this.)
- Thread string through and tie at both ends.
- Attach sting to light bulb so that the cylinder covers the light bulb. Please ask an adult to help you. Allow plenty of space between lantern and bulb as the light bulb would get extremely hot.
